"If we don’t have the right environment, a sick environment doesn’t help the organism." Dr. Ben Carson

Renowned brain surgeon, Dr. Ben Carson has decided to put down his surgical scalpel and pursue a career in politics. Carson has long been a sought-after public speaker, but it wasn’t until he delivered the keynote address at the 61st annual National Prayer Breakfast, where he euthanized President Obama’s liberal agenda, have the calls for him to run for public been made. During his appearance on Fox Business’ Stu Varney show, Carson confirmed that he conducted his last surgical case, and said his farewells to his colleagues.

In answering Varney’s question, as to what his role in politics was going to be, Carson said that he was going to “spend a lot of time talking to political and non political groups about the United States being for the people,” and healthcare reform.

It will only be a matter of time until Carson is recruited to run for federal office. Question is, has he already decided to run for office, and is waiting to make an announcement down the road?

  • Dr. Carson is not a staunch 2nd Ammendment supporter.  It is his opinion that people living in an urban environment not be allowed to own arms, however, he feels that it is ok to own arms if you live in a rural area.  I heard him say this in an interview.  I find this very disturbing as I like most of his views.

    • I heard this also. I am pretty sure it was  on Hannity as that is the only place I have seen him. It's almost like saying blacks can't be trusted to be responsible.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Here is a true communicator and a leader who has American values ahead of any personal agenda!  I believe America is going to benefit from this man's decision.  He is an answer to my prayers.

  • Hallelujah!  At least he will make people in current political positions sit up and worry!

  • Run  as Senator from California!  Save us!

  • Dr. Carson said that everyone has the right to arms.  But he thinks semi-automatic weapons don't belong in urban areas for fear that they will get into the hands of crazy people.  But no problem in the rural areas.  And he said it should be a State decision, not Federal.  I don't agree with him on this.  But I agree with most else I've heard him say.

    • The rural area's would be a much easier target for criminals.. Think about it.. Oh, Carson did utter those words. Like I said, a person that follows the Constitution.

Tell me why we are supporting or thinking of supporting the first man that has come around and said the right things.  They all say the right things in advance. The Repubs jumped all over Cain, then they wanted West, now they are rallying around Carson.. What are we doing here folks, doing a tit for tat?  We have been made fun of by so many on the left saying, "we are following obama". Looks kinda funny to me too. Its not only a man or woman of color we need, we need a good person with experience, maybe not in brain surgery. Carson talks good but lord god so did obama. I want a man that follows the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and one that loves this Country, and one that will fight to protect his Military. I want a person that believes in GOD and not allah. I want a person that will defend our Country as no other.  Now call me a racist, this usually happens once a week.. Whats that about a ducks back?

Allow Carson to get some experience, run for Congress, see how he does and if he becomes as corrupt as the others. You never throw in someone that has no experience.

      • Herman Cain was as attractive a candidate as any until he was character assassinated and destroyed by the left even though the flat tax rate of 9% across the board was attractive to many. Allen West was fraudulently removed and still is active in politics and must be considered a dark horse candidate for some office in 2014 if he chooses to run. It may sound racist but, for a conservative black to hold such views, he will ALWAYS be considered an "Uncle Tom." To some whites , that is attractive, to most blacks those so labelled are traitors and the truth lies as usual, somewhere in moderation, between the two extremes. What we need is a candidate who cares about AMERICAN CITIZENS and NOT foreign felons or Jihadist potential terrorists, The rest can then take care of itself with proper guidance and good decision making from such and in a position to accomplish it.The one who best fits your criterion of the people you mention is Allen West who has the Congressional experience and is STILL active and desires to help in SPITE OF IT!

        • Brian, I was not suggesting anyone, I was saying that it looks as though people are saying it has to be a black man. I will add again, I am not racist. I liked all three of the men I mentioned, but first of all, they have to have experience.. Carson says all the right words, but has no experience.. Do you think West has been tainted by the left?  Damn the left.

I think more than anything we need a person that has served in the Military. What I wouldn't do for an Eisenhower, Patton sounds great too.. He has to love this Country as no other. Yes he has to care about the American Citizens.. I think you and I are on the same path.
