Video: Herman Cain Schools Anti-American College Hecklers
Former presidential candidate and successful CEO Herman Cain participated in a jobs forum at the University of Michigan last week. During his presentation, Cain told several hundred students that they'll enjoy at least one significant advantage when the enter the job market, triggering an interesting response from a handful of hecklers:
Cain: "This is the greatest country in the world."
Students: "Not," "It's not!"
The rest of the audience gasped, booed, and a few chanted "U-S-A." Cain then launched into an epic impromptu monologue about the greatness of America -- her liberties, her prosperity, her military strength, and her opportunities -- bringing the crowd to its feet. Pure awesome:
"If this is not the greatest country in the world, leave!"
For more data and perspective on America's singular exceptionalism on the landscape of world history, read this, this, this and this. It's also interesting to note which end of our domestic political spectrum spends the most energy informing their fellow Americans that our nation really isn't all that great: Entitled undergraduates (see above), the ranting, fictional "news" anchors, as imagined by Hollywood, sanctimonious blowhards and fawning Sinophiles at the New York Times, and, at times, even the President of the United States. I can think of no more eloquent recent paean to America's exceptional greatness than Condoleezza Rice's address at the Republican National Convention (17:25 for a highlight):

As Merle Haggard once said; Love it or Leave it. We all know that Michigan is the new enclave of Islam. So why the surprise? I think its high time that All Americans, particularly in Congress and the WH take an oath of Allegiance to America.
We have a breeding ground of subversives in all colleges today what with the liberal professors spouting their hatred for America. But I notice that they all like the perks. If any other country was any better, they'd all be rushing there. And the fact that we have more than 70 Sworn Socialist Party members in Congress ought to give everyone pause.
"Yes, We Can Change it"!
Whaaaat??? There are blacks supporting GOP and Romnet...where they come from, quick call Wolfe on CNN or George on ABC!!
Go Hermann, Go Condi, Go Allen West and Mia Love, Tim Scott, Bobby Jindal, Star Parker and the rest of the real people
Or and don't forget that other man...hmmmm who was it...???... MARTIN LUTHER KING,JR! a registered Republican!
Oh yeah, Martin Luther King, Jr, a registered Republican!
Too bad the truth about the Democrats being Champion of Slavery and fought tooth and nail against the rights of the Blacks up to their fight to quash the civil rights movements of the 60s. Yes, I remember Martin Luther King and the fact that he was a Republican. The Liberal media keep the truth hidden as they always do. Maybe some of them actually believe the garbage they spout, which wouldn't at all be surprising at the Liberal, Anti American teachers who "Educated" them!
Got to love Hermann. He was smart enough to walk away from the national nonsense of running and good enough
to tell these hecklers the real truth and not the "truth" their bull shit liberal and tenured mostly foreign professors tell them.
Herman Cain was my choice for President, he is a real Patriot and glad to see him still fighting for the ideals that made our country great.
