Is this report true?

This is a different take.........This is really hard for me because I fully supported Gen. Petraeus. My question to myself is, did I blindly support him because of my love for our Military and those who do and have served? Have I blindly supported/defended him because of my distain for the marxists groups like moveon.org who grabbed a opportunity to bash/berate/demonize Petraeus and our U.S. Military?

I do know we only know what the media is feeding us about Gen. David Petraeus. I also have this one fact that I recall every time I hear opinions about him. Fox News Bret Baier, reported when the info about Petraeus resigning was first released....he was reading from notes from a conference call he had just had with Gen. Petraeus. Bret Baier said that Gen. Petraeus told him to "tell the truth about him - he had the affair and (this part is what I keep recalling) he looks forward to testifying at the hearing on benghazi." (I paraphrased that a bit, I tried to find the video and I was unable to find it)

I did not want to post this because I do not want to witness anyone on PFA dogging our Military or anyone who has served. There are folks in our movement that take every opportunity to trash our troops/Military every chance they get. And obviously they will not last long on PFA.

But, I do post this for true consideration of what Gen. Petraeus has done knowing we must and can vet information coming out so we will know the facts we need to ponder. Let us be people who do not trash Gen. Petraeus, but people who seek the truth instead of rumors and opinions pulled out of thin air. I do value critical thinking from Troops and Veterans on this. They have put in the time and have the training plus know the ends and outs of our Military. But opinion from those of us who haven't served are not helpful because of our lack of know in this matter.

I do note below the quotes that are listed as him saying are not linked. So, until I hear if from his lips, I consider that unvetted info on my part. Alot of hits on him in this written piece does not link reference nor source which is another reason I am not so sure about posting this. But I post it for us as a group to work productively together while seeking the truth about this issue and all issues that come before us.

No tears from me over the resignation of CIA Director and retired General David Petraeus, late today. Petraeus was and is a pan-Arabist, anti-Israel piece of crap, who built his career on expending the lives of American soldiers to build roads for and hand out candy to Muslims who hate us, as he constantly bent over for them. He blamed our problems with the Muslim world on our relationship with Israel.

Dhimmi Fashion Victim: Former CIA Director & Retired General David Petraeus Dresses Like a Muslim

As American Commander of Middle Eastern Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, Petraeus dressed up in Muslm garb to display the latest appeasement in uber-dhimmi chic dumbass fashion. Apparently, it did wonders in the bedroom for him. Oh, and don’t forget that he was part of the crowd who blamed the attacks on our embassies and the murders of four Americans on the anti-Mohammed video and condemned free speech.

And, yet, he had no problem jeopardizing America’s national security by having an extra-marital affair. Can you imagine the kind of blackmail he could have been subject to, had the FBI not discovered his dancing in the sheets? What a selfish idiot!

It’s truly incredible that this man was being touted as a Presidential candidate by everyone from FOX News chief Roger Ailes to New York’s grandstanding (but never doing anything) Congressman and Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King. All of them begged this schmuck to run. Whatta joke.

There are many theories abound about the timing. Surely, the Obama people must have known this affair was going on for some time and did nothing about it, plus it came out AFTER the election for a reason. And there are many on the right who now think this came out so that Barack Obama could avoid having Petraues testify about the events at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. But as CIA Director, he would probably avoid answering much. And he could still be subpoenaed as a private citizen. So, I’m not sure I buy that part.

What I do know is that I’m glad this creep is gone. Back during the Iraq War, left-wing groups called him “Betray-us.” And, while they were attacking him for something else, his pandering to Muslims against Western interests backs that nickname up.

U.S. General David Petraeus said on Wednesday that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was fomenting anti-American sentiment due to the perception of U.S. favoritism towards Israel.

Speaking to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Petraeus explained that “enduring hostilities between Israel and some of its neighbors present distinct challenges to our ability to advance our interests in the area of responsibility.”

“Arab anger over the Palestinian question limits the strength and depth of U.S. partnerships with governments and peoples [in the region],” Petraeus said.

His comments follow a week of tense relations between Israel and the U.S. following Israel’s announcement of plans to build 1,600 housing units in East Jerusalem, which was made public while U.S. Vice President Joe Biden was visiting the country.

Yup, for this over-rated general, it was the old stand-by: when things get tough, blame the JOOOOOOS and Israel.

This was the same idiot who was the archtiect of the Bush “hearts and minds” strategy to win over Muslim savages who hate us.

And how did that work out? Just like his affair.

A lot of people got bleeped. And thousands of American soldiers died.

Buh-bye, Betray-Us Petraus. Don’t let the halal door hit ya on the way out.

Thank G-d this jerk will never be President. But, don’t worry, there are more Islamo-ass kissing Jew-haters and Israel-blamers to take his place.

  • He is no victim, he made poor choices and had poor impulse control,  he chose to commit adultry, he wanted his cake and eat it too. The only victims are his family, not so sure I can say his wife is a victim, if this has been going on for a couple of years she had to know something, if not only in her gut. Choices come with consequences.

  • Thanks for the information. I have been told that Petraus was one of the greatest Generals. I have been told he is an honest man. So I will not judge him until all the information is in. I personally think Obama's machine is destroying the good General.
  • My first thought was that  here we have another "other woman" just like in John Edwards case, who brought down a public figure. AND the Benghazi situation. It sppears to me that General Petraeus took the fall instead of Obama.

  • Implications have been made which tend to indicate that this whole thing came about in order to preclude him from testifying before Congress relative to the Benghazi affair.  My understanding is that none of this precludes his testifying before Congress therefore, before coming to any conclusions, we should wait for all the facts to be known.  It may turn out that none of this, aside from any security which may have been breached as a result of a Mata Hari type situation, is any of our business.  As I see it this is a potential scandal and mainly a "character" issue, between he, his conscience, and his wife but as of now WE don't have sufficient information to make a judgement relative to the issue.

  • I can't prove it but I refuse to believe he quit because of a fling. There is more to this than an affair but we will never know unless the General finally speaks up and tells what he knows but then that could cost him his freedom too since so much of this has been classified so the general public will never know of it. Only time will tell though. As for what kind of General he was? I have no clue and if he did half the things they are accusing him of then he needed to go but if not then he is just another pawn in Obummer's game of Chicago Politics.

  • The broncobama rule of thumb in play here: If the general lives he is a full flege libtard, if he is killed then he was going to spill his guts.

  • With all the codswallop we are subject to on the internet, may I suggest you put these comments in the same category (people who know nothing making up tripe).

As the wife of a retired ranking officer believe me when I say:- "The General will pay more than any of you know for his indiscretion, so give give him a break and stop making up this garbage about something most of you know nothing about".

I think Col. Riley might have the same viewpoint, correct me if I am wrong Harry!

  • From what I understand - Petreaus had to show his proposed testimony to the WH before testifying in the Benghazi hearings and when he did, he was told that they did not want him to testify to that effect, and he resigned.  Now, he can testify without any hindrance from the Government.  He did not tell the Navy Seals in Libya to stand down nor did he deny any help to be sent to them.  Obama did. Petreaus is in a much better position to speak the truth.

    •    With information we have heard from the NON msm, I don't believe what we are being told.  The "Elite" who control our country use sex, blackmail, and other forms of pressures and I believe Petreaus probably, in my mind, told them to go to, you know where and it is supposed to be hot, I will retire and he did.

I think he is still a very great man, and he in on the people's side and freedom for the USA.

    • I agree with you Michaele on that statement.  However, it was the general who was the first to say this was all caused by the "video".  Now whether he was told to say that or it was his idea, who knows.  We will have to wait and find out.  I am anxious to see what he has to say at the hearings.  He now has no orders to follow about his testimony and he is free to tell the truth.  Let's all hope that this was his plan to get the truth out and  that he is not just another  high political figure betrayed by his  glands.
