OAS / Name Perception

You all are in my prayers daily. I have concluded, however, that the reason we have little recognition or negative recognition is simply because of the name. Operation American Spring.

I have spoken w/ many who have ignored your call simply because the name implies violence due to all the other  'SPRINGS'  which were violent protests.

At this point, It is what it is though, and I will continue to pray for the mission and attempt to educate others about the peaceful nature of OAS.

God willing, I will be able to join you in DC.

  • I think one reason was all the hyperbole about the movement, such as the claim the protest would draw tens of millions of participants.  If I recall correctly it was that idiot hatemonger Louis Farrakhan who first started all this "Million Man March!!" nonsense back in 1995.  He of course attracted nowhere near that number but that didn't stop him from claiming that he had; nor did it stop subsequent protest groups from also calling for and claiming the same.  "1 Million Truckers!" was followed by "2 Million Bikers!!", and if anyone wants to know why the MSM and most alternative media generally ignored OAS last week it's because they'd pretty much shot their wad with all the dire warnings and breathless coverage of what turned out to be dismal turnouts for those two preceding non-events.

Also hyped were the early predictions of bloodshed and promises that violence on the part of the government would be met with equal or superior force.   Even the Colonel got enough sense to back away from that line of talk.  In a certain sense, the subsequent rift between him and "Capt." Karl, and the diversion of most of those armed idiots out to Nevada was a positive. Just look at the change in rhetoric over the course of things: from battle cries, to 'hey the DC police aren't so bad', to 'hey the DC police say they're on our side!!"  The latter statement, again, is most likely another example of hyperbole - but not a bad one.

  • There are also ppl who point to accusations of racism. Ridiculous I know. I point to black leaders who believe as we do. I think outreach to those ppl could help a lot. There's Derrick Grayson in Georgia and CL Bryant in Louisiana.
  • I appreciate your valid concern Daniel.  And I agree that "it is what it is".

I would like to comment also that the "Arab Spring" and other "Springers" across the world are visioning and creating a true habitat for humanity v. a conglomerate for corporations.

Egypt revolted and got the "Brotherhood" representative for a President.

They revolted again because they said they didn't want another "Ruler". They desired a return of "conscience":  the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action.  Profound.  Remembering Conscience.......think about it.  Our personal "still small voice".  Remember that?  Re-Member that....please.

Yes it got violent.  The "Rulers" did not listen to the people.  I do not know if their Spring worked for them yet.  But they remember what is a conscience is and that is a BIG START.

Operation American Spring is using our Constitutional Law to "petition the government for a redress of grievances".

The people who purport to be our Representatives and who have sworn an oath to defend and protect the Constitution can either obey the law and carry out the actions outlined in the petition OR they can say, "No, we have overthrown your government and the Constitution isn't law any more".

The next step is then to order the Police to arrest them for their crimes.

If the police will not do that (and they will) then the Military must defend the Constitution.

If the Military will not do that (and they will) then the Militia must defend the Constitution.

    These are the steps.

If any violence occurs it will be equal to any violence that occurs when criminals are found out and arrested.

There are not enough "elite" to resist us.  They only get their strength from us.  And we ain't paying for their "protection" any longer.

    We advocate following the law.

If there is violence, it will be in defense of our Constitution.  Not some "knee-jerk" reaction caused by some pissed-off people.

Stay calm, focus and with strong intent.

I heard Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-Oh) say in a session before the Ways and Means Committee that either Congress or the People should file a petition for a redress of grievances.

    Here we are!

Congress is afraid as a whole.  We need to let them know "we are here to support our Representatives".

We are also here to say, "Representatives!  Represent US!"

WE are the strength of this Nation.

We are part of Operation American Spring.

The name conveys that we will do whatever lawful actions we need to do to re-establish our Republic.

And some people are going to jail.

    • Thanks Arthur, Joe and Jean.

My comment is simply an observation from those I have spoken to and observations about lack of media involvement/recognition (Glen Beck as an example) and perception of OAS by the uninformed public .

Simply trying to say the 'First Impression' of people is negative.......at least those that are not involved.
