West Point center cites dangers of ‘far right’ in U.S.

"This is why 20-30% of our soldiers WILL follow illegal orders from the unconstitutional Muslim Marxist in temporary command - but the balance who know that their oath is to the people and the constitution, will NOT point a gun and American citizens. Left-wing academics have infiltrated the military academies too..."

A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”

The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”

The center — part of the institution where men and women are molded into Army officers — posted the report Tuesday. It lumps limited government activists with three movements it identifies as “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement.”

The West Point center typically focuses reports on al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists attempting to gain power in Asia, the Middle East and Africa through violence.

But its latest study turns inward and paints a broad brush of people it considers “far right.”

It says anti-federalists “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”

The report also draws a link between the mainstream conservative movement and the violent “far right,” and describes liberals as “future oriented” and conservatives as living in the past.

“While liberal worldviews are future- or progressive -oriented, conservative perspectives are more past-oriented, and in general, are interested in preserving the status quo.” the report says. “The far right represents a more extreme version of conservatism, as its political vision is usually justified by the aspiration to restore or preserve values and practices that are part of the idealized historical heritage of the nation or ethnic community.”

The report adds: “While far-right groups’ ideology is designed to exclude minorities and foreigners, the liberal-democratic system is designed to emphasize civil rights, minority rights and the balance of power.”

The report says there were 350 “attacks initiated by far-right groups/individuals” in 2011.

Details about what makes an attack a “far right” action are not clear in the report, which was written by Arie Perliger, who directs the center’s terrorism studies and teaches social sciences at West Point.

A Republican congressional staffer who served in the military told The Washington Times: “If [the Defense Department] is looking for places to cut spending, this junk study is ground zero.

“Shouldn’t the Combating Terrorism Center be combating radical Islam around the globe instead of perpetuating the left’s myth that right-wingers are terrorists?” the staffer said. “The $64,000 dollar question is when will the Combating Terrorism Center publish their study on real left-wing terrorists like the Animal Liberation Front, Earth Liberation Front, and the Weather Underground?”

  • To shout Allah Akbar, be in the uniform and shoot your fellow soldiers is just a little violence at the work place...to defend the Constitution is right wing terrorism. Something is rotten and smells badly in this country. There is a saying: "The fish and the guest starts to smell the third day." This uninvited guest on the kings throne is sitting on it much longer .

  • So even West Point has been brainwashed by liberalism? This is what they are teaching our future "officers and gentlemen"? There goes any hope of help from the Military to defend our constitutional rights!

  • This "report" sounds like a HUGE crock!  I've been saying for a long time...that much of today's military will not stand with us. Especially the ranking members.  Today is not our Grandfather's America, and this is not our Grandfather's military.

  • I most agree, Many good soldier have left the army for that reason and many more are working on getting out.

The schools are indoctrinating students. So each generation of new recruits has a higher number of skulls full of mush. On the other hand those in there mid twenties are waking up in great numbers.

  • all the violence I recall from this region seems to come from the "progressives' -zealots that bite the fingers of men they had started an argument with over legal protest. comes to mind. Ted Kazinsky -the unibomber is another. No doubt this school will hope to produce outstanding Officers more deserving of a combat zone fragging to  get them centered in reality than they ever seem to be fresh from the Academy. No doubt the old grey mare has produced some fine Officers-but these were men to begin with, and well grounded.Men like Mr.Allen West down Florida way. Or Eisenhower--or Robert E.Lee and a handful of others worthy of Leadership.Worthy to be called Patriot.a lot of college boys come from school with their heads screwed on crooked and eyes unable to see clear. Many of them go into law --or politics. I recall Mr.Lincoln's political speech built  around Bible Truth "A house or nation divided against itself cannot stand." Truth has no expiration date. And a"progressive" said in Denver Colorado back in 1911 something about if we don't know where we came from-- we can't understand where we are today-nor figure out where we are going. As a Democratic Party leader he was better edicated than most. The US Army trained us to oppose the Soviet Communist and all enemy foreign or domestic by reading and trying to understand where we came from as a free nation. This Ari P. guy sounds like the kind of perfesser I NEVER got along with, over mutually destructive clash of personality and world view.

  • demonRATS are the real danger to Americans.

  • stunning!

  • keep in mind that Benedict Arnold once was in charge of West Point...

There have been 'political' military personnel around since Revolutionary times and this 'think tank' is nothing new.

We just need to do a clean sweep and force these people out of positions in government and military.

  • I wonder where Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright and Van Jones fall in the lexicon of brilliant thinkers at the "Center."

  • For 20 years as a cop in California, I took nightly rape, robbery and homicide reports where the suspects were 'people of color' and the victims were 'people of another color' (usually groups of blacks attacking whites and blacks attacking Asian college students and the elderly). Almost always, racial epithets were used by the offenders to underscore the racial component to their motives. The number of times I saw a commie prosecutor actually charge one of these vermin with a 'hate crime enhancement'? ZERO. The number of times I saw victims prosecuted for uttering a racial epithet in the heat of self defense battle? Too many times to count. We've lost our FRIGGING MINDS!!!!!!!!!
