New New Mexico state group leader

Posted on January 27, 2014 at 11:51am 1 Comment

Good Morning,

Many of you by now have read the message from Col. Riley appointing  me as New Mexico's  state Group Leader.  I feel that I can add various skills and experience to the PFA organization.  I'm a retired Marine Corps infantry (grunt) Gunnery Sergeant.  I served four combat tours in Viet Nam and enjoyed being a machine gunner there.  I would like to ask  that all members of New Mexico to please provide me with your email addresses and a short note of your experiences so I…

Hey Every One

I'm new at this so If I make mastaks, or seem slower most of you bare with me, or asked numb questions.  I type a blazing ohhhh, maybe 30 words a minute. bare with mw.   There isn.t much used for a machine gunner to type.

Hi Gunny Skaggs:

I apologize for taking so long to provide you with my background information , but anyway here it is:

I am retired Marine Corps Mustang Officer and honorably served my country unselfishly for twenty years during the period of January 15, 1964 to January 31, 1984.

What follows is my military/civilian background and/or work history/experience:

Military:

Following enlistment was designated as a Private (E-l) and promoted up the enlisted ranks to the rank/grade of Gunnery Sergeant (E-7). After 12 years of active service applied for and was commissioned as a Warrant Officer (W-1) and subsequently promoted up the officer ranks to the rank/grade of Captain (0-3E). Military Occupational Specialties included: Artillery Man, Administrative Clerk, Administrative Chief, Ground Nuclear Weapons Administrative Support/Maintenance Technician, Personnel Officer, Nuclear Weapons Storage/Transportation Security Trainer/Inspector and Ground Nuclear Weapons Officer.

Civilian:

Shortly after my retirement from the Marine Corps New Mexico State Government employed me for approximately fourteen years. During that period of time I was privileged to have been given the opportunity to serve as a Veterans’ Service Officer with the NM Department of Veterans’ Services for approximately four and a half years, which was by far one of my most gratifying and rewarding positions that I held in NM State Government because it gave me the opportunity to assist my fellow Veteran Comrades, their families and/or survivors in need.

Please let me know it you have any questions,

Thanks for your honorable service to our country as a Marine and for your continued to service to our country and state as our State's Group Leader.

HI Harry;

I am sorry it has taken me so long to answer your Friend Request. With everything I have had to do, I simply have not had the time..  Let me start with "Welcome Home", Brother. One tour was enough for me, U.S. Army RVN, !970 - '71. At the rate our numbers are declining, I am always glad to meet another Nam Vet..  Thank you for your Service, Sir.

Since Coordinating with our State Group Leaders is part of my job description, I look forward to working with you in the future. I will be giving you a call within the next day or two to touch bases with you. I will also need your e-mail address so I can send you some information that may help you organize your State more effectively..

I wish you all the best and God Bless...

Hey Harry, can you put me in contact with the Albuquerque group. I'd like to find out the details for traveling to DC in May. Can't wait till we get there to "clean house" in DC! God Bless America! Julian.

How to post "live" URL in posts at PFA............. Adding URLs in blog posts that are not "live" is a waste of everyone's time.....
Here's how....if anyone has better guidance send to me.....
First........type your text entry into the post block to include typing or paste the URL you want us to view........when finished with the text, highlight and copy the URL in the text.......then click the "add hyperlink" tool in the B, I, U box just above the text entry, after clicking, a window will open asking for the URL...paste the URL in the box and click "OK". You have now made the URL "live"...........it shows some code before the post is published, it goes away when you "publish post".......
