Please pass my Observations E-Mail to Howard Jackson as he seems a little down as most of us are. Also pass this on to him.
Here's my take on the present Tea Party status. When the Tea Party formed and virtually changed the 2010 Mid Terms they took all they could get from Pelosi, Reid, and the gigantic network of Main Stream media who sought to humiliate, disgrace, and label them in the most derogatory terms available. Additionally, those victorious Tea Party candidates who got elected entered the real world of the Beltway Bureaucracy and were subjugated to a certain extent by the incumbent GOP Rhinos, etc. then had to learn the Administrative/Contact ropes in order to be minimally effective in their new role. A few of those folks got defeated this time around, but it will not affect the core.
On the National scene the independent Tea Parties, State by State, were also being attacked, criticized and in many instances, more so by the Rhinos than the Progressive Liberals. In particular, they were criticized for not having the impact of a national Leadership Voice and here-in, in my estimation, lies the Silver Lining. They resisted that inclination, I think, due to the infancy of the movement, which was rich with new and old Patriotic ideas, implementation/engagement strategies, and with the knowledge that no single source/voice of Leadership could articulate or for that matter implement the full expanse of the movement.
Remember, every state and local region of this country has its own political, ethnic, and ideological differences that come into play. To that end I think the de-centralized Tea Parties have done a tremendous job in establishing the working/contact bureaucracies within their individual organizations to deal effectively with the aforementioned differences in their cities, townships, and states. I see a high degree of that sophistication in local Tea Party groups and that is the key. True, we may not have seen the impact we would have liked in Tuesday's outcome, but the Tea Party structures are sound and functional and their time is NOW!
Let me digress for a moment. For the past eight years or so, Bill Balsamico has been pretty popular on the internet for his (Take No Prisoner Private Signs) outside his Casa D' Ice restaurant in Pennsylvania. Bill has done pretty well with his T-Shirt, Coffee Cup Misc. souvenir sales which depict his sign message. Having put up some controversial signs, myself, over the years, I wrote Bill a couple of letters indicating that it would be meaningful for him to have a meeting at his place, whereby some common sign themes supported by many in this country could be discussed by those interested and subsequent strategies developed not unlike the Continental Congress of old. I never heard back from Bill and see his signs are still out there. He’s still selling Tea-Shirts and mugs at a record clip, but those wearing the shirts and drinking out of the cups apparently are not making a voting impact to the extent that we need.
In that regard and based on the recent Election Results and options left, I think it should definitely be considered that the first regional meetings of active Tea Parties be scheduled and common ideas/strategies be summarized. Then a National Meeting can be scheduled in the nature and spirit of the Continental Congress resulting in some type of Third Party being formed.
The regionalization concept would for one thing speak to the ethnic and demographic changes that the GOP cannot seem to overcome. I think we would be shocked by the numbers of minorities who would buy into this concept and who have similar ideals which they could individually profess instead of having the Democrats speak their so-called voice. There is no better time than NOW to initiate this type of strategy. Please pass this on to establ
Hey Royce! Thanks for the outreach! Let me know what you've got going on regarding the communication end of things. I'm kind of a no-nonsense guy and am a little tired of the endless websites and blogs and thousand of responses, etc. We've been in dangerous waters for some time now with this Ideologue , and the time for rhetoric and speculation is over. The Politicians have failed us miserably and its time to change course , devise a plan that is serious, and act.
Hello Re. Beasley and thank you for your response. As far as doing things on the site I have found that there is plenty of information posted here to keep me busy, in an attempt to be well informed. I receive emails from many conservative sites and pass along info in the form of discussions and try to add to the discussions posted by others. I think the best thing we can do is try to get everyone involved and informed that we possibly can, the more we have that meet that standard the better. There are many differing opinions on the site but most lead to the same desire. I find that I am learning new things every day and I love it. I failed in one respect in my welcome to you in that I did not thank you for your service. I attempt to welcome everyone to the sight as soon as they join in the hopes that they will become involved. Thank you for your service to our country and your continuing service as well.
