Yeah, this whole thing to me anyway, smacks of "Taxi Drive" with Robert Deniro. But I wait and see what comes out.
Exactly the opposite. If every 18 year old and older at that meet & greet were carrying a concealed weapon, or the loser who did the shooting yesterday at least had the idea that everyone there was armed, he wouldn't have had the guts to shoot. I spent years in Fairbanks Alaska during the pipeline days. Everyone carried a handgun. There were no gunfights in bars, no armed robberies because everyone "knew" everyone else was 'carrying'.
The anti gun Politicians and other Left Wing 'Elites' want us all disarmed so the screwballs with guns can kill us like livestock, and so that the Politicians who ALL have guns and/or armed guards, can behave even more like royalty. If the crowd around Representative Giffords (God watch over her) had been 'packing' SOMEONE would have taken that POS out. There were gutsy people there who came running even though they were unarmed. An armed Nation is a strong Nation. How many shootings like this happen where the people are armed? Not many, if any.
I can agree with CJ on this. The thing is a complete loser, leftist mentality as well as mental disorders. This is not a political thing, it was a mentally deranged person who went too far. It is not about the firearm, but the mad person who pulled the trigger. This could be lain at the feet of the left, because the bastard had stated his favorite book was The Communist Manifesto.
We could make political hash of the left on this, their book, their mantras, their twisted logic, finally caused this person to snap and murder several people.

Representative Giffords is NOT a Liberal Loser, she is a Conservative Democrat, as were my parents. Myself? I'm an Independent. When the Democrats started to become Socialist Progressives I left the Party. Progressives come in all stripes, not just Democrats.
Representative Giffords is a proponent of the Second Amendment, The Constitution, Individual Rights and Strong, closed Borders, she is a person of Faith, and totally unlike her DemocRAT peers. That's why, when I heard about the shooting yesterday, I assumed that her shooter would turn out to be a Left Wing nut-job and homosexual Progressive, and I said so yesterday. Darn! hit the nail right on the head!
Even if this is a conspiracy to get rid of a Conservative from their Party, there will be no such findings from this Regime, Period. Watch for more of the same. John Wheeler was the first victim of this Leftist "purge" of Conservative "enemies", Representative Giffords was number two. See the losers page in my post above.
