Everything that I have heard about her tells me that she is radical liberal and she even said that the Court is there to make policy.The Republicans in the senate have a way to stop her, according to Karl Rove. In order for her to be confirmed, at least one Republican has to vote for her in committee. If no Republicans vote for her in committee, then the confirmation can not go to the floor of the senate for confirmation. It's way past me how you people can be so blined?, Radical Liberal Obama has now selected one more Radical Liberal to add to his bunch. If he wants a Mexican? pick a good level headed one, out of the box you can tell this woman is a racist radical liberal. Her membership in Puerto Rican Bar, Hispanic National Bar, Judges of Hispanic Heritage and the National Council of La Raza tells me a bunch, I would think she would belong to the NAACP. I have watched, with great interest, the presidential selection for the Supreme Court, and I am afraid that President Obama has made a poor choice in selecting Sonia Sotomayer. First of all, the President has insisted on finding a person who is "compassionate and empathetic" and this is the first flaw. In our Supreme Court there is no place for this. The Supreme Court must rule from the best translation of the Law of the Land, the Constitution. Lady Justice holds a scale for balance and she is blind-folded, because true justice is BLIND and FAIR, not compassionate and empathetic.

Ms. Sotomayer has shown from her past that she also does not rule from the law books but from her feelings. The Supreme Court is not the place for soft feelings, it is a place where the law must be applied regardless of who is hurt. This position must be filled by a person that interprets the laws only as to their constitutionality, not to set the policy, and yet, Ms. Sotomayer is quoted in a discussion with Duke University law school students in 2005, "the federal Court of Appeals is where policy is made."

Judge Sotomayor has often been reversed by the Supreme Court which has a 5-4 leaning to the left. At least one reversal was unanimous. Can you imagine how wrong a ruling must be to have a unanimous reversal?

It is obvious to me that Pres. Obama made this nomination to push his left-sided anti-Constitutional policies into our Supreme Court system for years to come. She is not a protector of the Constitution but has a history of words and deeds that support the notion she will ignore the Constitution and try to institute policy changes reflecting her own subjective, egotistical biases.

I respectfully urge you to make a complete investigation of Ms. Sotomayers qualifications where I believe you will find her unqualified for this position.
