    Poe's Law states that if a parody is extreme enough, it will be virtually indistinguishable from reality and taken as gospel.  My take on these parodies is this:  lot of truth in jest, just like many "fictional" novels.  (Who was the singer in the Godfather?  Everyone knows it was Frank Sinatra.)  If it is designed to be a parody and makes perfect sense, is it a parody?  Is it then extreme?  ...just shows how far down the rabbit hole we've gone! (IMO!)
