America was ravaged in the mid 1800s by a violent conflagration we now call "The Civil War". Yet that war, fought with lead and powder, rifles and cannon, nearly destroyed a nation, wounded the heart of America, and almost ended the world's most dramatic breath of freedom.
Unfortunately, because they hear no cannon's rumble and see no bodies strewn in the fields, no blood running from the surgeon's horrific table, many Americans fail to understand - or fail to comprehend - that a second civil war is raging in America.

We need to learn the lessons of Gettysburg. Freedom, Liberty and our God-given Rights may die with this generation. America is hanging by a thread. We, as Americans, need to understand the cost of liberty and learn from Gettysburg that this civil war, like Mr. Lincoln's war, may require of us the last full measure of our devotion.
