How the Government helps seniors
How the Government helps senior citizens:
A call for help and assistance can be fatal. Any calls for medical help will bring the EMT’s, the ambulance. And you will be taken to a hospital. Of course that can be a good thing, that’s what they are there for. What else could we expect? What else could we ask for. At least we know they are always there when needed.
But then what happens after you are taken to the hospital? You will be treated for what ever illness or injury you may be suffering from. The treatment may or may not be effective. If it’s an injury such as a fall, good luck. A broken hip or a broken arm or leg will probably result in surgery. Once again that may or may not be a good thing.
If you’re calling for help concerning an illness or sickness of some kind, once again that treatment may or may not be effective. While the emergency medical teams did their part, mostly quickly and efficiently, that does not always apply to the doctors who will be assigned to treat you once you arrive at the hospital.
In order to be called a doctor these people must under go at least eight years of training, That includes a few years serving as an intern at some hospital someplace.
The quality of that training and education differs greatly from one place to another. And not all who attempt to be a doctor will survive the training systems. Not every one who attempts it will eventually become a fully qualified doctor. And that’s a good thing. We want only the best to make it through to become doctors.
But I’m getting off track, what happens to senior citizens who call for help?
You will be taken to a hospital. And you will be treated for what ever injury or illness you are suffering. And then (if you recover) you will be released to return home. But you may end up in a nursing home instead. Most people would again say that is a good thing. What more can we expect? If you end up in a nursing home you can forget about your home. Forget about all those things you have worked all your live to acquire, nice home, nice furniture, nice cloths, a nice car or truck. All that will be gone. Forget about all those things. And especially forget about your bank accounts and savings, that’s gone. And I suppose if you’re dead what do you care anyway?
Our health care industry has evolved here in America a great deal over the years. It has become very efficient at getting us the medical treatments we require. It has evolved greatly over the years in the training and expertise of our medical personnel. And it has also become very efficient at disposing of all your life’s savings and accumulated wealth, such as your home, vehicles, and bank accounts and savings.
Gone are the days when we could expect any kind of home health care. Doctors no longer pay house calls. You might be able to find a visiting nurse someplace but don’t count on it.
Gone are the days when grandma and grandpa lived at home with the children. The children have all grown up, moved on, and now have families of their own. The day of the children taking care of their parents at home are all gone. That’s one of the reasons our healthcare industry has evolved into what we have today. Our current healthcare industry has evolved into a system which attempts to fill those gaps left when grandma and grandpa expected to stay at home to be cared for by their children.
Those days are gone forever. Our healthcare industry is now a well oiled machine. But that machine like any other doesn’t know anything about the most important part of all of this – HUMANITY.
The result is a very inhumane system that really cares little or nothing about our senior citizens.
In all reality our healthcare industry has evolved into a system of very little care and useless routine steps of disposing of grandpa and grandma. Government takeover of our healthcare system has evolved into a very efficient system of confiscating and disposing of most of the families accumulated life savings.
In reality today if grandma and grandpa call for help it could be fatal. They can expect to loose everything. That’s how big-brother Government takes care of senior citizens.
And articles like this is what happens when you give grandpa a computer and lock him the house all winter long.
