Since I subscribe to the belief "Perception is Reality" I believe Congresspersons should:
take an immediate 10% cut in pay,
change their entitlement Pension Program to a simple 401k that they fund themselves with no match until the country is back on its feet and
if the strip out or do not fund "Obama Care", they should be made to purchase their own individual policies based upon their age, pre-existing conditions etc without the tax payer footing their bill.
Wasn't there a time when people served rather than made a career out of politics?
Usually, with a career, a person can be expected to get better at something. If the career is politics they, generally, tend to get much worse. They are inebriated by their hubris, public relations, egos, pay, benefits and everything else that corrupts their minds.
