Representatives NOT Leaders
The members of Congress, both the House and the Senate, are only representatives of We The People. They are NOT our leaders.
The United States of America is a Constitutional Republic. It is NOT a Democracy.
The only portion of our governmental system that functions as a Democracy is the process in which we elect those representatives. Those who win the most votes in an election “win” the position.
But then those elected officials are duty bound to follow the Constitution and to follow the lead of the people whom they represent.
The only person in Washington DC that could be referred to as a “Leader” is the President of the United States.
And even he/she must follow and obey the laws and the spirit of The Constitution.
The members of Congress, and including the President himself are elected to represent the will of the people. They are NOT dictators, rulers, or anything other than our representatives. They are sent there to represent US – We The People.
If we want to keep our freedoms and liberty then the American people should learn the Constitution.
Learn to preserve, protect, and defend those rights, freedoms and liberty, and protect that Constitution, against ALL enemies – foreign OR domestic.
GOD Bless America.
