Folks, I've posted this out here in the general discussions section and not in the Texas pages because this kind of legislation will spread very quickly to all other states. We need to bo on the lookout for anything that resembles this crap.
NOTICE of Texas House Bill 2167
Texas Rep Yvonne Davis, (D) Dallas, Texas has introduced HB2167 into the Texas Legislature that would remove from office any Sheriff or law enforcement officer who refuses to enforce State or Federal laws, or if they order deputies or officers under their command to refuse to obey federal orders. And it provides for the removal of any elected or appointed law enforcement officer for simply stating or signing any document that states that he/she will not obey federal orders.
As many of you may know many Sheriffs and Police chiefs around the country have begun speaking up about the current attacks against our second amendment rights. Law enforcement people from all states are saying flatly that they will not enforce unconstitutional orders from Washington that orders them to confiscate arms from the people.
I received notice of this HB2167 bill from the people on the Constitutional Sheriff’s Club.
I've done a very quick search on Texas Legislature and a link to this bill text was not hard to find.
Here is a link to the bill.
People who are active in Texas should be all over this as quick as possible. Also, others should be aware that once something like this is introduced in one State, it will be followed very quickly in several other states. People should be on the lookout for this or anything that resembles it in all other states. Please also note that Rep Davis included provisions at the end of her text in this bill that makes it automatically become law if it is not voted down before September 2013. This bill needs to be stopped before it becomes law.
If we are going to ask or local Sheriff's to stand up and defend us then we had better be ready to defend them against this type of fascist actions on the part of some politicians.
