I just got this from a very good friend of mine. He was a pilot in VietNam.
This man flew 120 missions over North VietNam, He was a squadron leader, F104 Phantoms.
He managed somehow to survive and come home.
Read this story carefully because THIS is why we commemorate Memorial Day.
For all of the guys that did not make it back,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, from either this war or from any of the others.
And also for all of their families.

I was putting together a long list of crew loses in my Squadron.After a few hours of listing dates plane numbers pilot and what happened to the crews, it became a depressing effort. so I will just say in one year in my unit we lost 22 crew members. I will just list one I have more details about, My roommate took a flight on a road recon trip up the highway along the sea in NVM. He was shot down, the other crew said there was no way anyone could have survived the crash, no parachutes, no beeper,AND NO CHANCE OF LIVING. THE CREWS WERE REPORTED KILLED IN ACTION (kia). HE HAD A WIFE AND TWO LITTLE GIRLS. WHEN THE WORD WAS DELIVERED TO HER, SHE TOTALLY LOST IT, HOW CAN I RAISE THESE KIDS ALONE? SHE COMMITTED SUICIDE.
THE NEXT LIST OF POWS HAD HIS NAME ON THE LIST.
A CREW LOST GOES FAR AND WIDE.EVERY DAY SEVERAL FLIGHT WOULD TAKE OFF, MOST RETURNED. I LEARNED FAST HOW TO SEE AND TRACK ANTI-AIRCRAFT FIRE OR WATCH 50 CAL. MACHINE GUN FIRE TO SEE THE BEST WAY TO "NOT GET HIT". I DID COME BACK WITH HOLES ON MY BIRD,BUT I CAME BACK.22 DID NOT. I Keep a tight control of my flight. NEVER LOST A WINGMAN and watched out for any newbees in my flight.

The cartoon act we now have masquerading as pres. and vp did not even mention Memorial Day much less recognize it in ANY way. They just made sure, I bet, that 90% of our military will stand with us if the need to do so arises. Bet your ass on it. That was a slap in the face of our great military. Which Is the absolute ultimate superior military on the face of the planet.
