Let's hope this attempt to preserve Constitutional freedoms against Sharia encroachment doesn't run afoul of a clueless, politically correct judge, as did the attempt in Oklahoma. "Wyoming legislation targets Islamic, international law," from the Casper Star-Tribune, January 20:

CASPER, Wyo. -- Wyoming judges wouldn't be allowed to consider Islamic law or international law when making rulings, under a proposed state constitutional amendment introduced this week.

To date, no Wyoming court rulings have been based on Islamic law, or Shariah. But state Rep. Gerald Gay, R-Casper, said his proposed constitutional amendment, House Joint Resolution 8, is meant as a "pre-emptive strike" to ensure judges don't rely on Shariah in cases involving, for example, arranged marriages, "honor killings" or usury cases.

Gay said while he didn't expect the proposed amendment to pass this year, he predicted support for the proposal would increase in future years.

Last year, Oklahoma passed a constitutional amendment banning state courts from considering or using international law or Shariah law. But a federal judge subsequently blocked that amendment on the grounds that it "fosters an excessive government entanglement with religion."

  • This is a good start.  I can not understand how any judge could accept any law other than our constitutional law.
    • Easy to understand. Send the judge a couple of threating letters from Muslims (very easy done) and if you do not want to have your head cut off (that is for Muslims very easy to do too), there will be no more judge, just a bag of cowardice s...t. But it ususally works with the couple of thousand dollars to his pocket from society which it seems to me have unlimited money resources.
      • Jerry is so right.  If threats won't work, money will.  And the Muslims have unlimited resources of money from selling the western world oil. Oil that we wouldn't need if we were allowed to develop all our own oil, shale, and coal that we are prevented from doing by politicians bowing to enviromental wackos.  They also have unlimited resources of naive idiots ready to kill themselve if necessary to kill us.

  • The constitution shall be the supreme law of the land, and the judges of every state shall be bound thereby. Nowhere in the constitution does it mention Shariah law, Islamic law, the law of gravity, Any law to the contrary notwithstanding. Muslim laws are all anti-west, anti-infidel, anti American, anti-human, etc. Any religion that's "god" is so stuck on itself that anybody who doesn't believe in it, is an infidel worthy of "having his head cut off, and boiling oil poured down his neck". That's one twisted dude. When people immigrate to this country they accept that they have to follow OUR LAWS. Their laws don't apply here, and even suggesting they do is belligerent combative talk, worthy of extraordinary rendition, torture, and indefinite detention, and a full body scan.
  • And that 'Islamic terrorist attack" badge at the lower right of this site that say's "16,700 deadly attacks since 911".

That's nothing to brag about, the USA has killed 1,421,933 Iraqi's, 4,754 US military, at a cost of $1,141,338,868,816 to the US taxpayer. This all based on a series of lies by our government officials.(official criminals)

    • Now I know why you wont use your real name.

How many of those deaths were us defending ourselves from attack?

Are you counting all the Iraqis killed by Iraqis?

WAR is NEVER pretty and death is part of it.

Ask anybody if they would defend their family, when attacked, to the death. The attackers or theirs.

      • Gary, never get into a fight with a fool (frigging idiot more exact). In the ensuing fight no one can tell which is which. And in other words, don't get into a urinating contest with a skunk either.
        • You forgot "Don't get into a battle of wits with an unarmed person."

(He seemed fairly good from his previous posts. And then . . . .)

      • My whole point was, the US government is criminally insane, putting our troops in harms way, because of their criminal agenda, wasting all that money based on a series of lies to congress, the American People, and the world is beyond a "war crime",it's an insult to the human race. Our troops were put there illegally, imorally, and should have been put in a position where they in essence "played" by bosh and cheesy. Where our troops belong is in Washington DC, fighting the REAL terrorists. The government is guilty of all those murders not our troops, I'm sorry if it came across that way. And the part about defending family, that's just what the innocent people are doing, defending their families against an illegal occupation. One of our own Generals said it best, "for every innocent we kill. we make ten enemies". America needs to get these illegal wars in perspective, What bush did was the same as him murdering all those people himself. My daughter was in Iraq, TWICE, for WHAT, A GOD DAMNED LIE.
        • Joe

I had a couple friends that where murdered in the WTC. These where people that had families and their lives where taken for what so that the maslams could declare WAR on this country,  they could have found a different way of doing it don't you think. If it sounds as if I am up set I am not but if we do not stop the maslams who will? And for info they did find a good supply of missiles that were buried in a hanger type building. My brother-in-law was the one who told me about it he was there when they where found and helped to destroy the things.
