The "Framers" of the Deceleration of Independence, United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights demonstrated courage and guts in the founding of this country. The fight for Liberty and Independence still rages on with the battles we face.today. We became complacent and have taken it for granted, but the war for Independence still require all citizens of this great country to be UNITED and stand together in this fight. We are not defeated as long as we stand together in the cause for Freedom!
As we celebrate our Liberties and Freedoms on this Independence Day, fly your flag with honor and please remember our veterans who have faithfully served and died for our country through out our history. Take time to shake their hand and thank them for their service.
Several members of our group visited veterans of the gulf war at Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital a couple of years ago. During our visit with one disabled veteran laying in his bed, no arms, no legs, blind and could not speak, began to shake uncontrollably. We thought he was having convolutions or some serious nervous reaction. His parents sitting next to his bed smiled and explained - He's excited! He knows you are here and that someone cares!
