POTENTIAL ADDITIONAL TRAIN GROUP AVAILABLE FOR 9-12 EVENT IN DCPatriots:We have had so many phone calls asking if our Group Train arrangement to DC for the mammoth 9-12 event was still available (it was not, we've been completely booked for weeks) that we decided to hit Amtrak again for additional seating. We do not know what the answer is today, but we've been told we will get our answer Friday, or early Monday. The purpose of this discussion/notice is to determine how much interest there is for this trip?First a rough overview of the trip. It requires a minimum of 20 riders to be granted the special Group Discount. In addition to that one there is also a Senior (62+) discount of another 15%.available. We will not know the actual round trip fare until Amtrak answers our contract request.A little about the schedule. The Group will board as a unit on September 11th and proceed North with several stops, arriving at Washington Union Station at 7:30 AM the mornng of Sept 12 (the Big Day). The Group will join the mammoth bunch of other Patriots (we are shooting for one million for a very convincing demonstration of our determination) for rallyig and starting the tremendous march down Pennsylvania Avenue towards the West Front of the Capitol At this point the Demonstration Phase will begin with speeches from conservative dignitaries and not so dignitary speakers. The Rally portion will last until about 5:00PM, after which the Train riders will return to Union Station (for possible libations and maybe even food at the elaborate Station -mall) prior to boarding the return train at 7:30PM.The train proceeds South and arrives back to our starting point Sunday, September 13.Notes about the Train itself. We presently have three Groups boarding the train at Ft. Lauderdale, and Jacksonville (and a few stragglers from up North), for a total of over 100 Patriots (we fill almost two rail cars completely).Advantages of the train over other modes of transportation are: comparatively greater comfort space (each seat reclines to about 30 degrees of horizontal, and are equipped with almost full length leg supports (almost like a recliner lounge chair) affording a support almost like a bed with a high head end). Don't get me wrong, these seats could not be considered beds at all, but they are a lot better than a bus seat or an airline seat; room to walk around and visit the Lounge car for heated discussions and snacks; a Diner for more complete (and higher priced) meals; and room to take a motorized or manual wheel chair in the car with you; room to accomodate our signs (try that on an airplane); very little time off from work required; and much comraderie!.As I mentioned, we will not know the actual fares until Friday. To see if this is worth pursuing further, we need to know how many potential train riders would be strongly interested in joining the new Group, if the price from Amtrak was reasonable. Participation is not just limited to you, it could also include neighbors, relatives, frineds, mailpeople, garbage collector, grass cutter, etc, if they are true Patriots and willng to lend their voices to try and stop the Washington madness destroying our Nation. Because of the close proximity of the departure date, payment will have to be made very quickly, probably within the first few days of September. If you are really interested, and know of a few others who might like to join us, or have any specific questions, please contact me immediately at toll free 866-376-9805 or email act1fla@comcast.net. Unless we have 20 or more riders, the Group will NOT be formed!
