My middle daughter has one out of four children left at home. Her oldest three attended public school, and she fought to no avail, the things they were and weren't teaching them. So couldn't get the cooperation of most of the parents, cause most looked at the schools as a "babysitter". So my daughter required the older kids, to learn HISTORY, THE CONSTITUTION, AND TO READ, at home after school hours. They were not, to say the least, happy with her then, but now as adults, have "Thanked her"
She is and has been totally home schooling her youngest, who is now 12 yrs old and has test scores, far above her friends that attend public school.
I am so proud of her, as she has given up a lot to home school her daughter, but as she says, "We as parents bring our children into the world, and it is up to us, to raise them and teach them, the things they need to know in life, so they can be informed citizens, and know their rights and responsibilities!!" God love her!! I know I do!!
