The old and wore out term "Wake Up" is and has been over used and is very UNPRODUCTIVE! I have been sick of that - open mouth fall out jab at folks - for years now!
If you really want to have a productive conversation with someone and them listen to anything you say, I suggest you leave that obnoxious and hideous OFFENSIVE SLAM out of your conversation. I have watched people shut so many folks down with that jab. Shutting them down or really throw up a wall where they will never listen to anything you have to say.
Enough of that!!! We are better than that! If you really want to make a difference then stop using that! And if you continue throwing that around ESPECIALLY AT FOLKS IN A CLOSED GROUP OF LIKE MINDED FOLKS - THE CHOIR AS SOME SAY- then that tells me you are not serious, you are just an open mouth -jab fall out of mouth talker.
Lets work hard at doing better! We must treat each other as brothers and sisters because that is what we are! Show respect to folks you talk with or end up talking at a resurrected wall.

I noticed, too how repetitive this phrase has been - and used in such an unqualified way that it becomes meaningless. Just kind of a rant of alarm or filler that, yes, falls out of the mouth and it's true - there's nowhere to go with it. No reasonable defense (like, "duh, I'm awake") or no conversation possible (like, "Oh, really? What do you mean?") - it's so annoying.
So I'm glad it's out. Just my two cents worth.
The first is a person who has just "woke up" themselves and feels some overwhelmed by what they've just figured out that they have to scream it from the rooftops ie; "wake up"!
The other is the person who thinks/feels intellectually superior to others (us) and has to impress us with how much they know...compared to us.
But...the direct answer to your post Twana is...I'm tired of hearing it.

That phrase is fine with me . Generally that has no meaning to the uninformed and those that are would never change their minds anyway until they get smashed in the mouth by Ocrap .
