Uses of Useless News Print

SInce we are protesting the media and newspapers in particular, I thought it would be fun to have a list of what you can do with newsprint. Especially when you consider how useless the text on the page can be:-)Most of these items came from the following list:http://www.astrostar.com/Eighty-Uses-For-Old-Newspaper.htmAdditional items were added by me.One way to use this in an advocacy event, (we don't protest, we advocate) might be to create a small sign with each description. If you had enough volunteers, each person could read their item and go down a list.Here you go...1. Burn.2. Recycle.3. Wrap fish.4. Packing material.5. Wipe your feet.6. Feed to cows.7. Bird cage liner.8. Dog carrier liner.9. Training paper for animals.10. Use as umbrella when caught in rain.11. Protect cars seats from muddy or wet clothing.12. Spread over outdoor benches to protect clothing.13. Put into loose shoes to tighten.14. Stuff in leather shoes to preserve shape.15. Stuff in wet shoes overnight to dry and deodorize.16. Crumple and place in suitcase for couple of weeks to remove stale odors.17. Use as mat when polishing shoes.18. Stuff hats to keep their shape.19. Stuff leather handbags in storage.20. Wrap around candle bottoms so they'll fit holders tighter.21. Store records between sheets.22. Use as padding under a table cloth.23. Cover store windows when remodeling.24.
