Fox news just announced that former holdout Ben Nelson (D-NE)has caved.Nelson admitted last night that he was trying to getmore goodies for his state…so it wasn’t really about abortion after all.Nelson scored a Medicaid exemption for Nebraska which keepsthe state from paying it’s burden FOREVER.That’s a biggie, because this plan throws incredible financialburdens on the states.We’ll be picking up Nebraska’s tab.Reid included a provision in his amendment that allows statesto prohibit abortion coverage in the insurance exchangesthe bill creates.It’s basically a state opt-out, which allows Democrats tosidestep the tricky issue by dumping it on the states.The amendment also requires that health plans thatprovide abortion services segregrate the premiumsfrom any federal money so that federal funds don’tpay for abortion services.In other words: another shell game.Because the insurance plans offered through the exchangeare eligible for federal subsidies, taxpayer money is stillpaying for the coverage of abortion.Ben Nelson will be holding a press conference at 10:00 AM ET.You can watch the Senate debate on health care live here at CSPAN.

I wrote Kyl, McCain, Cornyn, Sessions and McConnell yesterday demanding that Reid, Ben Nelson and Sanders be charged with and prosecuted for the federal crime of bribery under 18 USC § 201. Reid bought votes with public money and Nelson and Sanders sold their votes for benefits for themselves and the citizens of Nebraska and Vermont to the detriment of the citizens of the other states.
It is up to the Senators to put a stop to these criminal actions. The Department of Justice won't investigate and the courts will not hear the charges unless the Senators themselves take the necessary political action to begin the process of enforcing our criminal laws.
Have the Senators and House members done this before without being called thieves and criminal conspirators? Yes, but it is time for it to stop. Congress is destroying our nation.
We are witnessing on a daily basis the largest theft of the public treasury that has ever happened in human history.
They need to include obama because, in the closed door secession with democrat leaders
earlier in the week, obama ordered them to do what ever had to be done to secure 60 votes.
The whole bunch need to be impeached then tried in a criminal court where "The Rico Statutes"
can be applied against them. As far I am concerned charges need to be brought against every
Democrat/Republican who voted yes on the House Bill and the Senate Bill (once it is voted on
at 1am Mon.morning)
