After reading several articles and not getting a consensus of the truth at the Border I am left with mounting questions. The amount of fencing that has been erected so far has multiple and varied lengths. This all depends on who is reporting and exactly what type of fence that they figure into the total. The cost does not seem to have such far swinging difference in it. We have doled out Billions of dollars for what appears to me to be much of nothing.
I know that the Security of America falls under Enumerated Powers of the Federal Government. But when they fail, the States have the right to secure the safety of their respective citizens. Arizona led the way with SB1070 to secure its safety and came under a barrage of legal wranglings from the Federal Administration, the UN and multiple Foreign Countries. This was effectively illegal by the thoughts of many since foreign countries are not allowed to sue States on the Laws they pass, but was allowed by this Administration.
While the Federal Government is ineffectively claiming that they have the borders secured, we see the results day in and day out of crime spilling over into America. The rampant problems ever increasing on the bordering States has been pushed aside by the various entities that should be doing all they can to rectify those issues.
The Border Fence Project has been canceled and we are know left to wonder, wait and see what will come next. Will the next project be as rife with mismanagement as the Fence Project was? Will the next idea waste Billions with no results or end in sight?
At this very minute we have Patriots, Sovereign Citizens, Constitutional Militias and many others scouring the Borders attempting to do the job of the Federal Government. They are patrolling the Border, reporting all activity to the Border Patrol. They are putting their lives on the line, costing themselves and their families untold thousands of Dollars, using up their vacation and time from work for the Border instead of with Family, They are doing all of this for all of us.
Let the States do as they will to secure themselves and their citizens. Let them put their Guard Units on the Border or allow the citizens to be deputized. Let them do what they need to do and tell the Federal Government to sit down and shut up.
